The Historical Society and the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC) have issued a call for historians to submit works on the history of Rosarito for presentation at the symposium “Collective Memory and Cultural Heritage Management.”

The event will take place on Nov. 7 at the iconic Rosarito Beach Hotel, recently declared a Cultural Heritage Site of Baja California.

The call is open to historians, researchers, students, independent promoters, and cultural heritage managers.

The submissions should preferably be original works, focusing on Rosarito’s history, related disciplines within the Social Sciences and Humanities, or addressing the challenges and experiences of cultural heritage management.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, Oct. 18. Interested parties can submit their work electronically to the email:

sociedad.rosaritense.historia@outlook.com. Submissions must include the author’s full name, email, and phone number/WhatsApp contact.

The Organizing Committee will notify participants of their acceptance via email or WhatsApp by Wednesday, Oct. 23. The symposium’s general program will be published on Monday, Oct. 28, through IMAC’s social media channels, where questions regarding the submission and presentation process will also be addressed.
