Around 20 people successfully completed the Mexican Sign Language Workshop, organized by the Municipal Youth Institute (IMJUVER) in coordination with youth councilor América Briones Sánchez.

The workshop was led by Alan Anaya Ceja from the Secretariat of Social Inclusion and Gender Equality of the Baja California Government.

During the closing ceremony, Mayor Alejandra Padilla Orozco presented certificates to the participants, congratulating them on this achievement, which she described as an act of empathy.

“Learning Mexican sign language is an act of love toward the community; it opens doors to a world of possibilities and understanding,” she said. She also praised the participants’ dedication and enthusiasm, calling it an inspiration to others.

The mayor further acknowledged the work of the institute for the youth of Rosarito and congratulated youth councilor América Briones Sánchez for promoting this initiative.
