The Pro-Municipality Committee has initiated efforts to select and commission a mural for the stairway of City Hall, aimed at creating a piece titled “Rosarito Pride” in celebration of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the cityhood of Rosarito.
The mural is intended to promote local identity and culture in this space on a wall of City Hall.
This project is supported by the Space Recovery and Anti-Graffiti Commission, led by Councilwoman Dalia Salazar and Councilwoman María Ana Medina, who proposed and secured unanimous approval for the initiative in the City Council.
According to Nancy Hernández Villela, president of the civil organization, which has been active for over 40 years, the group is committed to fulfilling its role and adhering to the principles of its predecessors.
One of its projects is to create murals in municipal building areas that depict the origins, development, and modernization of Rosarito.
They seek broad community participation to appreciate and take pride in the work. The organization is currently accepting donations of supplies and materials for the mural.
