In celebrations of the Rosarito Beach Hotel centennial many stories intertwine, including some paranormal tales. Hugo Antonio Torres, of the legendary hotel sheds light on some.

When asked about these stories that swirl around the hotel, Mr. Torres said right behind the Salon Mexicano, in the Adobe House, there is supposedly a “haunted room” where Don Archivaldo passed away due to alcohol poisoning.

“But days after, Don Archivaldo continued to come every afternoon to the cantina and would chat with various regulars, either at the bar or in the hallways, almost always at the same time, just as the place closed at night,” he said.

Furthermore, during the nights, the piano in the bar would start playing on its own, with the keys moving without anyone touching them, leading many to avoid working during those hours, added Mr. Torres.

Numerous other stories accompany the Rosarito Beach Hotel, which holds a unique cultural and historical legacy in the region.
