The history from the opening of the first barbershop “Roma” on Nov. 20, 1960, under the direction of Ángel Moreno, up to the present day with three generations of barbers, will be  presented in a motivational book.

Mario Moreno Ponce announced that the book will be introduced at the upcoming binational congress “World Barber,” to be held on Aug. 18 and 19 in Mexitlán, Tijuana.

This event will serve as the ideal setting to honor this noble profession.

He said he has received invitations from three local universities to present his book, inspired by the chain of barbershops founded by his father, whom he describes as an  “angel” for those who have embraced this profession.

“It’s a family-made book in which we include various data, photographs, and life anecdotes to illustrate how this profession has evolved over the years,” said Mr. Moreno.

He added that one of the final chapters includes a personal motivational testimony, highlighting how he came to preside over the iconic Rosarito Press Club and promoted various family business campaigns in Rosarito, even during the pandemic years.
