With its summer program School of Magic and Creativity, the State Center for the Arts (CEART) in Playas de Rosarito is encouraging children to explore and connect with the arts in a playful and creative environment.

The camp, part of CEART’s Journey to the Center of the Arts program, will run from July 14 to August 8, 2025, and offers a hands-on introduction to multiple artistic disciplines including music, visual arts, theater, and dance.
Led by instructors Roberto Tejero, Jazmín Vargas, Isabel Cárdenas, and Alejandra Cole, young participants will nurture their imagination and creativity in a safe and inspiring setting.
Marco Nuño, coordinator of CEART Playas de Rosarito, emphasized the importance of creating artistic spaces for children:
“These programs give kids the chance to experience a creative summer—one where they can play, learn, and discover their own abilities. It’s a fun and educational way to explore the arts, build self-esteem, and develop new skills.”
Throughout the course, participants will engage in a range of activities such as creating visual art pieces, performing songs, developing short theater scenes, and choreographing dance routines—all inspired by a magical and imaginative theme.
At the end of the program, the children will present a collaborative artistic project that showcases their work.
Nuño also noted that many children, after attending the summer program, go on to pursue further training in CEART’s regular workshops, becoming part of the center’s broader educational community.
Activities will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CEART facilities in Playas de Rosarito.
