With a goal of one million pesos—an amount that was not reached for the first time last year—Rosarito’s Red Cross launched the 2025 National Fundraising Campaign last weekend.
Under the slogan Emergencies Don’t Wait, Don’t Stop Helping, the institution, along with volunteers and the municipal government, joined forces to encourage participation from the public, businesses, and organized groups.
The kickoff donation drive took place on Benito Juárez Boulevard in the downtown area and was led by Conrado Hernández Tovalín, president of Rosarito’s Red Cross, who emphasized that the collected funds would be allocated to the institution’s operations.
The fundraiser helps us acquire equipment or invest in keeping emergency units active. The Red Cross is always a partner of the municipal government within our means. We are always ready to respond, but support is essential,” he stated.
He also highlighted that Rosarito’s Red Cross currently responds to over 400 emergency calls per month through 911, making it the only institution with ambulances providing emergency services in the area.
For her part, Mayor Rocío Adame underscored the importance of supporting the Red Cross, emphasizing that this is a crucial moment to offer assistance. She urged the community and businesses—regardless of size—to join this cause and contribute to strengthening the institution.
