His work received an honorable mention
Carlos Delgado, a Primotapian artist, was recognized for his artwork titled “Volaremos” through the Arte Estandarte collection.
The young artist had the opportunity to take a photo with renowned singer Drake Bell after delivering his piece, which received an honorable mention and will be exhibited at Mexico City’s airport.
The Arte Estandarte project showcases banner-shaped artworks that are rolled up and displayed in VIP lounges at major airports across Mexico. For now, the new collection will be itinerant, allowing for greater exposure as it will be exhibited in different lounges.
“This new collection will be on display at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), in a VIP lounge. My piece received an honorable mention for its detail, imagery, concept, and artistic justification. The curators really liked it because the theme this time was ‘What moves you?’ in the sense of travel. My inspiration was flying and seeing the geography from the airplane window.”
On Saturday, Feb. 22, while delivering his artwork at the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT), singer Drake Bell arrived, and Delgado had the opportunity to chat with him and take a photo together.
