For the third consecutive year, women from Rosarito, organized under the group “Informed Women, Powerful Women,” took part in the planning of the International Women’s Day march.

The march took place on March 8 at 2 starting from the Mexico Monument (Las Tijeras) in Tijuana’s Zona Río.
The feminist organization, led by lawyer Lupita Ibarra Luquin, is supporting the call to action and encouraging local women to participate by offering free round-trip transportation. The buses departed from Pabellón Rosarito at 12pm, heading to Tijuana.
The gathering began at 2pm featuring various activities such as the sharing of testimonies, diverse experiences, awareness dynamics, poster and ribbon displays, and other forms of peaceful protest.
Lupita Ibarra Luquin, a counselor for the organization in Rosarito, explained that the goal of this march was to raise awareness of the fight for women’s rights to live free from violence and under conditions of equality.
