Metropolitan Tourism Delegate Martha Mendoza Montes highlighted the awareness efforts being promoted among various police forces in preparation for the 2025 Tianguis Turístico.

While outlining the event’s organizational aspects to the Pro-Municipality Committee, Mendoza Montes emphasized that police officers play a fundamental role in achieving the promotional goals of the Tianguis Turístico.

She noted that training and awareness workshops are being implemented to improve interactions with tourists.

“They are very important because they are the ones visitors will turn to if they experience any issues or incidents. We are working closely with them to provide training and raise awareness, ensuring they understand the importance of treating tourists well—tourism is something we must take care of,” she stated.

Additionally, efforts are being coordinated with hoteliers, restaurateurs, transport providers, and other tourism service operators, who are already implementing improvements to their products and services.

For instance, some hotels are undergoing renovations to enhance their facilities and provide a better experience for visitors.

Public transportation and restaurants are also making improvements, adapting to accommodate the more than 10,000 visitors expected during the event.
