• Vaccines are free and available across all public health institutions for vulnerable groups such as children, seniors, pregnant women, and first responders.
With a firm commitment to protecting residents from respiratory illnesses during the winter season, the Baja California Health Secretariat announced that vaccination is now available across the state for seasonal influenza, COVID-19, and pneumococcal disease.
During this first phase of the winter vaccination campaign, doses will be prioritized for high-risk groups, including children from 6 months to 5 years old, pregnant women, and older adults. The COVID-19 vaccine will be administered to people over 60, as well as adults aged 18 to 59 with underlying health conditions, and first responders such as police officers, firefighters, healthcare workers, and rescue personnel, explained Health Secretary Adrián Medina Amarillas.
He emphasized the importance of following vaccination guidelines based on age and risk factors, noting that doing so helps strengthen community immunity and reduce the risk of severe complications.
All vaccines are completely free and available at hospitals and health units throughout the public sector, including ISESALUD, IMSS, ISSSTECALI, ISSSTE, and IMSS-BIENESTAR.
Additionally, local health jurisdictions are offering mobile vaccination sites and temporary modules in high-traffic areas such as shopping centers.
In Mexicali, vaccines are available at medical units and at modules located in Plaza La Cachanilla, Plaza Galerías, and Plaza Nuevo Mexicali, open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
On the coast, residents are invited to visit the vaccination module at the Tijuana Health Services Jurisdiction, located on Bulevar Insurgentes and Avenida Camichin in Praderas de La Mesa, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Vaccines are also available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the 34 health centers in Tijuana, Tecate, and Playas de Rosarito.
