Colorful landscapes, cultural activities, and seasonal products await across three Baja California municipalities.

The Baja California Ministry of Tourism invites residents and visitors to enjoy the fall–winter season along the Ruta de las Flores (Flower Route) — a scenic tour that connects flower-growing ranches in Tijuana, Playas de Rosarito, and now also Ejido Uruapan in the Valle de la Grulla, Ensenada.

At this time of year, the marigold fields (cempasúchil) are in full bloom, painting the countryside in vibrant shades of orange and yellow. These stunning landscapes create the perfect backdrop for family outings, getaways with friends, and outdoor photo sessions.

In addition to selling flowers for traditional altars, participating ranches offer seasonal products such as pumpkins and fresh produce, as well as fun activities including corn mazes and specially designed photo areas for capturing unique moments.

To make the most of your visit, plan to spend a full day exploring the route. In Tijuana, visit the Cueros de Venado circuit; in Playas de Rosarito, enjoy Cañón Alisitos, Cañón Histórico Rosarito, Cañón El Descanso, and Cañón El Médano; and in Ensenada, the route now extends to Ejido Uruapan in Valle de la Grulla. Each stop offers its own charm — from blooming fields and seasonal harvests to family-friendly experiences.

Each ranch visit typically takes about two hours, especially during the peak season from September through November. The Flower Route can be explored by private vehicle or on guided tours, which offer visitors a complete countryside experience — including rustic restaurants, local lodging, and artisan product sales, all within a festive and cultural atmosphere.

Through initiatives like the Ruta de las Flores, the Baja California Ministry of Tourism promotes community-based tourism, supports local families, and showcases the region’s rich cultural heritage — reinforcing Baja California’s status as a diverse and year-round destination.
