Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame praised the support that Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo has given to the city, noting that thanks to this federal backing, strategic projects are moving forward—projects that, she said, will mark a turning point in the lives of Rosarito residents.

Adame emphasized that one of the top priorities is securing the water supply. She reported progress on the technical plan for the Rosarito Desalination Plant, designed with a capacity of 2,200 liters per second. This project, directly supported by the federal government, will ensure a steady supply of drinking water for Playas de Rosarito.
The mayor also highlighted progress on the “Vivienda para el Bienestar” (Housing for Well-being) program, which will allow more families to access dignified housing. She further pointed to the continuation of scholarships, social assistance, and well-being programs that already benefit thousands of Rosarito households.
As part of President Sheinbaum’s tour through Baja California, Adame attended the First Government Report in Mexicali, where the president underscored the importance of the Rosarito desalination plant as a long-term solution to the region’s historic water shortage.
“These are not future promises, but concrete actions that strengthen our city and show that transformation is advancing in Playas de Rosarito,” said Adame.
