Ahead of the 2025 Tianguis Turístico, a training session was held for free taxi drivers in Rosarito, with a special focus on raising awareness and preparing them for the upcoming binational event aimed at positioning Baja California as a high-quality tourism destination.
The training, deemed essential, was designed to equip those who often serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Held at the State Center for the Arts, the session included representatives from key government agencies such as IMOS Rosarito, the Rosarito Convention and Tourism Center, and the Baja California Secretariat of Tourism.
The Municipal Government has stressed the importance of inter-agency coordination in the lead-up to this major event. Recognizing that the 2025 Tianguis Turístico is a significant opportunity for the region, the administration is working to ensure that all facets of the tourism service chain meet the highest standards.
These training sessions are part of a broader preparation strategy for the event, which has generated great anticipation across the region. Tianguis Turístico 2025 will take place from April 28 to May 1 at the Baja California Center.
For the first time, the event will be hosted in northern Mexico, with all 32 Mexican states confirmed to participate.
Around 300 professionals in meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) are expected to attend—80 percent from the United States and Canada, and the remainder from Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
