Attractive financing credits for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs in Rosarito’s gastronomy and restaurant sector, along with other benefits, are being offered starting this year, promoters highlighted.
This initiative followed the signing of a work and collaboration agreement last between restaurant sector leaders in Rosarito and officials from the State Government’s Secretariat of Economic Development and Innovation.
Michell Guerrero, subdelegate of the department, representing Secretary Kurth Honold Morales, emphasized the pool of entrepreneurs in the municipality who are already organizing to advance their projects.
The promotion is gradually being extended to the various sectors represented in MSMEs, described as “the engine of the economy,” including women, merchants, and restaurant owners, among others.
“Know that you are not alone. That is the goal: to work as a team with all of you to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen new businesses, creating a more equitable economic distribution,” she stated.
She highlighted that Rosarito has 952 registered economic units, which received 63 million pesos (MXN) in loans last year. For this year, the projection is to allocate 108 million pesos to support these businesses.
The financial support includes loans ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 pesos, with preferential interest rates, to boost this vital sector that was severely impacted during the pandemic.
The goal is to assist in their recovery, she explained.
The assistance also includes a series of training and certifications at technical and managerial levels. Additionally, direct support is planned for equipment and infrastructure, the official noted.
